Arab Festival 2009

Make note of the date: the next Arab Festival will take place on August 1-2, 2009 at Seattle Center.

May 2008:

In 15 months the Arab Center of Washington, with leadership and support from the Arab community, will hold its ever-popular Arabic Festival at Seattle Center. The festivities will occur in August 2009. Our 2007 festival was a success. But we can certainly improve. As one Seattle Center leader wrote in her evaluation:

             “I urge the organizing committee to work on fundraising, to bring back the amazing variety of programming displayed in the 2005 festival.”

We want to raise the bar in our programming, spark new and creative ideas—and of course, raise the money to make those ideas possible.

In the coming months, a Festival Committee will form with vacancies for leadership positions and volunteers. We will keep you posted.
